Set login window settings

Display login window as:
Select "List of Users" to show a list of users that can be chosen at login time, "Name and Password" to show a blank user and blank password field to allow the computer user to enter his login name and password at login time. The name and password option is considered more secure.

Show the Shut Down button:
Check this to display the Shut Down button at the initial login window.

Show the Restart button:
Check this to display the Restart button at the initial login window.

Show the Sleep button:
Check this to display the Sleep button at the initial login window.

Show input menu in login window:
Check this to allow the user to change the current keyboard layout at the login window

Show password hints:
Check this to enable password hints at the login window.

Enable fast user switching:
Check this to enable the fast user switching feature. If checked, after login the current user's identifier (full name, short name, or icon) appears at the top right of the menu bar. Clicking on the user name allows the operator to log in as another user without logging out from the current user session.

Show the HostName, IP Address and OS X Version:
Check this to view system information like HostName, IP Address, and OS X Version and Build Number on the login screen. The user needs to click the clock in the top right corner to view each field.

Uncheck checkbox for "Reopen Windows when logging back in":
Check this to always uncheck the "Reopen Windows when logging back in" checkbox at logout, restart, or shutdown.

Hide all Local Users with UID (UniqueID) less than 500:
Check this to hide all users with a UID (UniqueID) less than 500 on the login screen.

Once enabled, this group policy takes effect when users log out and back in.
