If this setting is on, any periods entered in the Novell username will be treated as part of the name, rather than as context delimiters. The user will not be able to enter the context as part of the username, but will have to enter it separately. This makes it possible for the user to login with a username such as 'John.Smith' to both Novell and Windows.
