Si aquesta política s'estableix en false o no es configura, Google Chrome OS permetrà que l'usuari apagui el dispositiu.
Si aquesta política s'estableix en true, Google Chrome OS reiniciarà el dispositiu quan l'usuari l'apagui. És a dir, Google Chrome OS substitueix tots els botons d'apagat de la interfície d'usuari per botons de reinici. Per tant, si l'usuari apaga el dispositiu amb el botó d'engegada, es reiniciarà de manera automàtica, encara que la política estigui activada.
