If you enable this setting, then IE Tab will never open a URL that matches an Auto URL Exception filter. If a link is clicked while in IE Tab and that URL turns out to be an Auto URL Exception, then the URL will be opened in Chrome instead of IE Tab.
Note that the "Only open Auto URLs" feature is a superset of this functionality.
If you disable this setting, then if IE Tab is already open and a URL that matches an Auto URL exception is navigated (e.g. by a link), then IE Tab will open the URL in IE Tab.
