Registry (GPOE)

Registry policy allows an administrator to configure registry settings of any type. This policy differs significantly from Administrative Templates policy, which limits registry options and requires templatization of all settings. This policy can be used in conjunction with Security Settings\Registry policy, which allows an administrator to define access permissions and audit settings for registry keys. Computer policy registry settings that target the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive are placed into HKEY_USERS\.Default.

Supported on: At least Windows Server 2003 operating systems or Windows XP Professional with SP2
