This policy setting specifies the school or local education authority code that the Class Notebook add-in for OneNote requires in order to call Rediker's application programming interface (API). This policy setting is not required if the Class Notebook add-in for OneNote is configured to connect to a different learning management system (LMS) besides Rediker. For more details, please refer to https://aka.ms/classnotebookaddingrouppolicy.
If this policy is enabled, users will not be prompted to enter a school or local education authority code when they connect the Class Notebook add-in for OneNote to Rediker. Instead, the school or local education authority code will be obtained from this policy setting, allowing an administrator to control its value for an entire school or local education authority or district. This also makes it easier to update the school or local education authority code should its value change.
If this policy is disabled or not configured, the Class Notebook add-in for OneNote will prompt the user to enter a school or local education authority code. Should the school code change, users will have to manually change its value in the add-in.
