LMS Name

This policy setting specifies the learning management system (LMS) that the Class Notebook add-in for OneNote connects to. The allowed values for this setting depend on the version of the add-in installed, with more recent versions supporting more LMSs than previous versions. For the complete list of LMSs supported by each version of the add-in, please refer to https://aka.ms/classnotebookaddingrouppolicy.

If this policy is enabled, the Class Notebook add-in for OneNote will connect to the LMS as specified by this setting, and users will not be prompted to select one. This allows an administrator to control which LMS the add-in connects to for the entire school or local education authority or district. This also makes it easier to update the LMS that the add-in connects to should its value change.

If this policy is disabled or not configured, the Class Notebook add-in for OneNote will prompt the user to select an LMS from the list of supported LMSs, which is based on the version of the add-in that is installed on the user's device.
