Online content options

This policy setting controls whether the Office 2010 Help system can download Help content from Office.com.

If you enable this policy setting, you can choose one of three options for allowing access to online Help content:

* Never show online content or entry points - The Office 2010 Help system will not connect to Office.com to download content.

* Search only offline content whenever available - The Help system will not connect to Office.com to download content.

* Search online content whenever available - The Help system will connect to Office.com for content when the computer is connected to the Internet. This option enforces the default configuration.

If you disable this policy setting, the Office 2010 Help system will not connect to Office.com to download content.

If you do not configure this policy setting, the Office 2010 Help system automatically searches Office.com for content when a computer is connected to the Internet. Users can change this default by clearing the "Connect to Office.com for updated content when I'm connected to the Internet" check box in the Privacy Options section of the Trust Center.

Supported on: At least Windows Vista
