Do not allow expired certificates when validating signatures

This policy setting allows you to configure if Office 2010 applications accepts expired digital certificates when verifying digital signatures.

If you enable this policy setting, an expired certificate cannot be used to verify a digital signature.

If you disable or do not configure this policy setting, digital certificates that have expired are treated as valid digital certificates.
