Determine whether to force encrypted macros to be scanned in Microsoft Excel Open XML workbooks

This policy setting controls whether to require that encrypted macros in Open XML workbooks be scanned with antivirus software before being opened.

If you enable this policy setting, encrypted macros are not scanned by your virus-scanning program when you first attempt to open an encrypted workbook that contains macros.

If you disable or do not configure this policy setting, encrypted macros are scanned by your virus-scanning program when you attempt to open an encrypted workbook that contains macros.
