Configure Automatic Updates

This policy setting configures the Automatic Updates of the GoToMeeting, GoToTraining and GoToWebinar desktop application.

If you enable this policy, you can choose whether Automatic Updates are turned on or off using a drop-down list. There are two possible settings:

- Automatic Updates are turned on - This will cause users' desktop apps to proactively download new builds ahead of time to get them into session faster, as well as remove older builds.
- Automatic Updates are turned off - This will cause users' desktop apps to download new builds only when they start or join a session (rather than proactively downloading them ahead of time). Older builds will not be removed.

When the policy is enabled, the Automatic Updates check box in the Preferences dialog of GoToMeeting, GoToTraining and GoToWebinar is grayed out and the user cannot change the setting (but it will still indicate whether Automatic Updates are turned on or off).

When the policy is disabled or not configured, then the Automatic Updates check box in the Preferences dialog of GoToMeeting, GoToTraining, and GoToWebinar can be changed freely by the user.

If this policy is enabled both per machine and per user, the policy setting per machine takes effect.
